PRODUCT INFORMATION
Canesten thrush cream contains the active ingredient clotrimazole at 2% strength, which is an anti-fungal used to treat symptoms of thrush. It helps relieve irritation of the vulva (vulvitis) which is caused by vaginal thrush (candidiasis).
This cream will help provide symptomatic relief of external irritation caused by the vaginal thrush but it can not treat any internal cause of the infection and would need to be taken in addition to other medication used to treat the internal infection.
HOW TO USE
Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press.
To treat the itching and soreness of the vulva (vulvitis), the cream should be thinly and evenly applied to the area around the entrance of the
vagina, 2 or 3 times a day and smoothed in gently until symptoms disappear.
A product to treat the internal (vaginal) infection should be used at the same time.
You should consult your doctor if the symptoms of your infection do not improve.
