There are two main types of morning after pill tablets on the market in the UK.
ellaOne
ellaOne is considered to be a highly effective form of emergency contraception. It’s 95% effective when used within 120 hours (5 days) of intercourse.
Levonelle
Levonelle diminishes in effectiveness over time. Taken up to 12 hours after unprotected sex, it is 95% effective, but only 58% effective after 48 to 72 hours (3 days).
