WHAT IS DIORALYTE?
Dioralyte works to replace fluids and salts that are lost during bouts of diarrhoea.
The powder is citrus flavoured and contains glucose and salts such as sodium chloride and should be mixed with water before taking.
HOW DO YOU TAKE DIORALYTE?
Dioralyte must be mixed with water before taking and needs to be prepared just before the medicine is due to be taken.
Use fresh drinking water for adults and children over 1. Always use freshly boiled and cooled water for babies aged 3 months to 1 year.
Please read the patient information leaflet provided with the treatment for instructions on how to prepare the drink.
Adults (including elderly) – take 1 or 2 sachets after each stool.
Children – take 1 sachet after each stool
For babies up to 2 years old – this medicine should only be given under the guidance of a doctor.
If you are also suffering from vomiting, take the medicine in small and frequent sips.
