Canesten oral capsules contain the active ingredient fluconazole 150mg, which is an effective anti-fungal medication used for the treatment of thrush (yeast infection) caused by Candida Albicans.
HOW EFFECTIVE ARE CANESTEN ORAL CAPSULES IN TREATING VAGINAL THRUSH?
Canesten oral capsule is highly effective in treating symptoms of vaginal thrush such as vaginal discharge and burning, itching or soreness of the vagina and surrounding areas. Women will normally start to see an improvement in their symptoms within a few days of taking treatment and the infection normally completely resolves in a week or so.
If symptoms of thrush do not resolve within 7 days of taking treatment women should see their GP.
HOW DO YOU TAKE CANESTEN ORAL CAPSULE TO TREAT VAGINAL THRUSH?
Canesten oral capsule is used as a single dose for the treatment of vaginal thrush. Therefore you only need to take one capsule to treat the infection. Canesten capsules need to be swallowed whole with water and may be take with or without food.
